Beyond Kairos Steps Taken by Graduates

Six women, all Kairos course graduates, are taking steps beyond the Kairos course. They left their New Zealand homes last September to bless the women of a closed Southeast Asian country.

These women (in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s) have taken the Kairos course in their church in New Zealand and have been moved to respond to the “practical” side of the Kairos course.

The team leader had visited Asia last year and had already inquired about the possibilities to visit this closed Southeast Asian country. She had also asked how they could specifically bless the women of one people group in the country. She had learned that the best way they could bless these women is to hold retreats for them. The women in this closed country are often lonely; they come after the men and children in terms of importance. They are said to be the forgotten members of society.

The team raised their support for this trip as well as raised funds to hold the retreats for the women.
