Kairos Continues to Make Waves in Hawaii

Since 2005, Kairos has been making waves in Hawaii. More than that, just recently 12 participants completed the course. The 12 participants included three pastors, three Bible school students and leaders of Brethren of Christ International (BCI)-Hawaii.

The Brethren of Christ International, with branches in California and Washington, was founded by Filipino Senior Pastor Rod Almosara and wife Vicky when they moved their ministry to the US. They have now 18 daughter and affiliate churches in the Philippines.

Before holding the Kairos course with BCI, Course Coordinator Pat had conducted a Missions Awareness Seminar among BCI church leaders in July. Pat is a self-supporting Filipino missions mobilizer based in Hawaii.

The Kairos course at BCI-Hawaii is Pat’s 3rd attempt to run the Kairos course in Hawaii since he established permanent residence there last 2005. He has gone around the islands preaching in Filipino churches about missions. Within the year, he has delivered messages about missions before two big gatherings of Filipino churches in the islands of Oahu and Kauai.

Pat hopes to run the course in the other islands of Hawaii before bringing the course to the US mainland next year. Two Perspectives coordinators have already pledged to have a working alliance with him to spread the Kairos course there.
