Hindi Translations of Kairos Course
There are 460,000 Hindi speaking Christians in India. That’s the good news. The bad news is that this figure represents less than 1% of India’s Hindi speaking population. We believe the Kairos Course can make a difference.
Our International Course Facilitator after a recent trip to India writes: “we ran Kairos for about 55 pastors (mainly but not exclusively New Life Fellowship of India) at their Training Centre, Lonavala (2 hours east of Mumbai). The course was introduced in English with an English Reader, after each lesson translators read and translated aloud into Hindi for two hours. Videos were played with pauses every 30 seconds for translation to Hindi.
Talks with the Church leadership reveal that they are very keen to complete the Hindi translation in all respects. The students are overwhelmingly supporting the course and many volunteered to return to complete the course again and be trained as facilitators. The leadership has confirmed that they are fully supportive of this happening in 2006.
