Goers for the Kingdom have risen up from Cavite, Philippines

Out of 15 Kairos graduates from the recently held course in Imus Conservative Baptist Church in Cavite, Philippines, 10 of them sensed that they have been called to be goers.

Or perhaps it should be said that the course affirmed their call as goers. These 10 graduates are OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) and are actively involved in personal evangelism and leading discipleship groups. The course has helped them expand their vision for God's Kingdom.

One participant has been working as a seaman for the past 12 years.  He has been leading fellow Filipino seafarers on the ship in Bible Studies. After taking the Kairos course, he has seen a broader purpose for being a seaman in an international marine vessel.  He will work out to be cross-cultural in his personal ministry.

A 53-year-old woman in the course also shared that she has been wondering why her husband has suddenly wanted to become an OFW.  They are doing well financially in the country, their two children have also finished college - there is not much obligation now.  Being a committed Christian, she and her husband have been active disciple-makers in their church.  She had wanted to do more of this at this stage in their life.  Her husband, however, has found a job in a Middle East city and he has the privilege of taking the whole family there.  According to her, Kairos has helped her understand that God wanted to expand their ministry beyond what they are doing this time.  She is now excited to be in that Middle Eastern city as a witness for the Lord.

About four people in the group have also indicated their desire for training to run Kairos courses.  Pastor Jorge, the course coordinator, desires to raise at least one head facilitator in this group to help out in missions mobilization in Cavite province.
