Another door for Kairos opens in Manado, Indonesia

“The Lord has opened another door for the Kairos course in Manado,” says Novy, East-Indonesian Kairos Course Coordinator.

The door Novy refers to is that of an influential church in Manado, the GISI Church in Winangun. This church has been growing rapidly all over Indonesia and they have on ongoing work in Davao city, Philippines, where they have sent workers to start a church. But after taking the Kairos course, this church has seen how they need to contextualize their approach in missions.

This once-a-week course which began last February 2 and will run until March is attended by 36 participants consisting of church workers and other members of the congregation.

Another exciting development so far is that both the Senior Pastor and Assistant Pastor of the church have been captivated by God’s heartbeat for the nations and are encouraging other church members to take the course. It seems like the Lord has opened wide the door indeed.
