Brief History

Kairos has been available in Penang since Feb 2005 when the first course was run with 17 participants. 4 full-time courses and 1 part-time course has been run in Penang and a number of prospects are on the table (mission agencies, bible institutions, churches and independent courses) 25 facilitators have been trained.

Greetings from Malaysia!

Our Kairos facilitators will be very busy during 2008. We have already had one youth Kairos in Kuching, Sarawak and an intensive course as part of the Malaysia Cross-Cultural Mission School in Kuala Lumpur.

Connected to this intensive was a consultation for the Chinese version of the Kairos course which facilitators across Asia are eagerly waiting for (see China Country tab).

Other scheduled courses being put on by the Malaysia Kairos team include:

March 11-April 5, Glad Tidings Church - Klang; 2x/week

April 7 - May 1, St. Barnabas Church - Klang; 2x/week

April 12 - May 31, First Baptist Church - Petaling Jaya; 1x/week

April 20 May 4, EFC Kuala Lumpur - 3 weekends & public holidays

May 25-31, Gopeng - Intensive course

August 31 - Sept 21, Wesley Methodist - Kuala Lumpur; 4 weekends

NEPAL - Facilitators from the Malaysia team will by traveling to Nepal end of March/beginning of April for the third course in Nepal. The Nepali version is getting closer to completion and this is the first course where the main language in presentations and growth point groups will be in Nepali.
