Kairos Intensive in San Jose, Philippines Yields 20 Graduates
The Kairos Intensive training in San Jose, Philippines yielded 20 graduates and one new course facilitator.
Dr. Romuldo, a Kairos/CWMC coordinator,
held the five-day intensive training with
the
assistance of Pat, a Hawaii-based missions mobilizer who
was at the Philippines in time for the course. Another facilitator, Robert, also assisted in running the course.
The integration session yielded an encouraging bunch of prospective goers. Two guys are ready to go because there are no hindrances. One pastor will start a Badjao ministry in San Jose with the assistance of two other pastors. Another one plans to go to Papua New Guinea – he had been preparing for this for three years now. A 70+ year-old retired educator who has a doctorate in Theology plans to start a ministry for international students at a university where he used to teach. According to Pat, he will see to it that this will become a part of his future trainings.
Pat adds that he is excited to see a growing partnership of US based Filipino churches with their Philippine based counterparts so they can reach the Least Reached People Groups together.
