Kairos: transformation tool in Mozambique
“It was wonderful to have the privilege of taking people on a journey through the week and to see the Holy Spirit once again use Kairos to transform thinking,” says Linda, who served as course coordinator for two Kairos courses recently held in Mozambique.
Linda cites that “it felt a real Kairos time for Mozambique.” Ideas like Mozambicans going out to serve as missionaries, long-term goers transitioning to mobilizers and pioneer church planters thinking about sowing in a “world Christian worldview” from the beginning of discipleship came out during the course.
Plans are underway to run more Kairos courses in the next 12 months with some Mozambican pastors and some more missionaries who are potential mobilizers. The need to dub the DVDs using Mozambican Portuguese (the Portuguese written materials work but not the DVDs) was made apparent during the course, also the need to use an oral version of Kairos considering the low literacy level.
